ABOUT

I was born in Kabul/Afghanistan (where I got my middle name, “Momena”) and raised in Berlin and Nairobi. I moved to New York City in 1999 to work as an Art Director at an advertising agency. My plan was to move back to Berlin but I loved my work and the people I worked with, so decided to stay. After 16 years in NY, I moved to Miami Beach with my husband and kids to work as a freelance designer.

I’ve always wanted to develop an affordable, everyday jewelry line that can be worn day and night: in the shower, to workouts or for night outs. I love wearing jewelry, but I don’t love the idea of taking it off every night and putting it back on every morning. I am also allergic to most inexpensive metals which means I have to be careful what I wear and how I layer my jewelry.

Along came Covid-19 and I had a lot more time to think and start designing. I love working creatively and with my hands so I decided to go ahead and pursue my dream and launch an affordable, waterproof, sweatproof, rustproof and non-tarnish jewelry line. 

I design and assemble every piece myself – so the stock for each design can be limited.

Since one size rarely fits all, I am happy to customize my necklaces and bracelets. If you need a certain length or width, or have something entirely different in mind, please just send me an email @ nina@ninamomena.com or send a note when you purchase an item.
